Nestled in the northernmost part of India lies the enchanting region of Kashmir, often referred to as "Paradise on Earth." While the entire valley is a visual treat, there's a hidden gem within Kashmir that is a trekker's paradise - the Great Lakes of Kashmir. One such epic journey is the 7-day trek from Sonamarg to Naranag. Our teams consist of 16 people from different background. Mostly otai-otai dalam group kali ini.
Day 1: Sonamarg - The Meadow of Gold
Our journey begins in Sonamarg, 2 hours and 30 minutes’ by van from Srinagar. Sonamarg which translates to 'Meadow of Gold.' This picturesque town is surrounded by lush green meadows and towering snow-capped peaks. We arrived around 3.00pm. After we set up the campsite we start trekking to Thajiwas Glacier Viwepoint arounf 3-4km it takes 1-2 hours. Orang kata salam pengenalan kepada KGL ini. We camping at Shitkadi Campsite next to the Singh River. As the sun sets behind the mountains, you'll realize why Sonamarg is called the Meadow of Gold.
